Gilets Jaunes - Acte X take to the streets of Paris. A protester makes his feelings known to a wall of CRS riot police who have sealed a road along the route. An estimated 7,000 people took part in the looping 14 km route from Place des Invalides to protest tax hikes from the Government of Emmanuel Macron imposed on the people. An estimated 80,000 people took part in protests across the country. Regrettably the movement has attracted a violent element of agitators who often face off with riot police at the end of the marches which tends to deflect attention away from the message of the vast majority of peaceful protesters.
• 15 August 2006 - New Orleans - Louisiana. Drag racing wreck. In one of the many scenes of lawlessness in the city, a young man smashes his car into a parked vehicle at S.Galvez and Toledano Street, a well known drag racing strip in the Broadmoor section of the city. Just as things start looking up, something like this always happens. It was lucky nobody was killed.

 • 04 August 2006 - New Orleans - Louisiana. Repass after the Funeral - St Anne Street. Friends and relatives of three young men gunned down late at night on this gritty city street on July 28th pay their respects and celebrate their lives in a repass followed by a Second line celebration, a musical tradition, march and dance led by the Rebirth Brass Band. 4 men were cruelly gunned down that night in one incident as crime spirals out of control in New Orleans. Three of the victims, all brothers buried today are Kadeem Stephen (16yrs), Kendall Stephen (21yrs) and Kareem Stephen (also 16yrs). Friends and relatives, many wearing RIP t-shirts ate, drank and gathered to remember the young victims of this heinous crime. Candles are lit and placed on an RIP t-shirt in the street in memorial to the young men at the spot they died.

Gilets Jaunes - Acte X take to the streets of Paris. CRS Riot police fire tear gas and shoot a water canon at a hard core of agitators intent on disrupting events at the end of the march.
Louisiana. Mass evacuation begins. A handful of exhausted and nervous Louisiana State troopers are all that holds 20,000 plus people from the busses. Before evacuees were permitted on the bus the mood was extremely tense with troopers preparing safe exit routes should the crowd simply storm the building in their desperation to reach the busses.
