19 December 2005. Mandeville, Louisiana.
National Enquirer. Double page spread.
'Speared a 600lb Marlin, my implant saved my life.'
A great tabloid tale - the incredible story of Denise LeBlanc who was skewered by a fish. Her life was saved by her breast implant after the Marlin thrust from the water and speared her from her shoulder, through her breast implant and out through her back off the coast of Panama. Doctors claimed the silicone implants not only helped deflect the Marlin's spear from her heart, but the silicone also plugged a hole in her chest cavity which would have flooded had her implants been saline.
