August 2003. New Orleans, Louisiana, USA..Homicide detectives and body baggers converge on a bloody scene in the 6th district, New Orleans. The body of Lamont Mitchell lies in the dirt where he was dragged from a battered Buick Regal just hours earlier. Mitchell was shot and killed for little more than poking fun at men he considered friends. Colleague James Bannister was arrested a day later for the murder of Lamont Mitchell.
