Over 8 months after hurricane Katrina and still the city remains largely in ruins in many devastated neighbourhoods. Wayne Buford, director of the State Emergency Management Agency with his dog Rusty outside a building tagged with RIP graffiti. Buford is in charge of the grim task of body recovery from the ruins of the the Lower 9th Ward. His dog Rusty is a trained cadaver dog, used to sniff out human remains still buried in the rubble. They continue to find skeletal remains.
