Mardi Gras Day. Walking with Skeletons. The Skeleton Krewe meet before sunrise and walk 5 miles from Uptown, making their way along St Charles Avenue and into the French Quarter where they celebrate Mardi Gras Day. The Krewe stopped at Lee Circle for a portrait with the controversial statue of General Robert E Lee.
