Benson is the billionaire owner of the NFL New Orleans Saints, the NBA New Orleans Pelicans, various Mercedes dealerships, banks, property assets and a slew of business interests. Rita, her brother and mother demanded a competency hearing after Benson changed his succession plans and decided to leave the bulk of his estate to third wife Gayle, sparking a controversial fight over control of the Benson business empire.
