23 July 2013. New Orleans, Louisiana.
Following a major break in an old 30-inch water main, officials and workers from New orleans Sewerage and Water board struggle to contain the millions of gallons of water flooding homes and streets in The Carrolton neighbourhood. Huge investment in public infrastructure is required to repair and upgrade the ageing water delivery system in the city. Following the break, low water pressure and a public boil advisory affected tens of thousands of Uptown residents.
