Where Christmas trees go to die in the ancient alpine town of Annecy in South West France. Annecy sits on Lake Annecy which feeds into the Thiou River. The town is famous for its Vieille Ville (old town), with cobbled streets, winding canals and pastel-coloured houses. The medieval Château d’Annecy, once home to the Counts of Geneva overlooks the town.
