22 August 2007. Saint Bernard Parish, Louisiana.
Sub contractors pump raw sewage from his truck into the 'Judge Perez' lagoon in Saint Bernard Parish. 'If we don't do it, you walk through it,' is the motto of the drivers who work the parish. Two years after Hurricane Katrina, the still broken and failed pumping stations require 24 hour service to the sewage system which is drained by truck and dumped into lagoons and other sewers where pump lifting stations are in operation.
