7 images'Katrina 366.' September 2006. The exhibition prepares to go on display at the Jonathan Ferrara Gallery in New Orleans. 'Katrina 366' is the culmination of a year and a day photographing hurricane Katrina. The project started the day before the storm hit and takes in the devastating effects of the storm and her aftermath, culminating on the one year anniversary. The project is not a 'photograph a day,' it is the sum total of 366 days spent photographing events related to hurricane Katrina from the devastation of the storm to the struggle to rebuild and rise from the debris. May we never forget the estimated 1,833 victims of the storm. Thank you. 65 imagesHurricane Katrina 8 years later. In a tale of two cities, much remains to be done to rebuild some of the areas hardest hit by the storm. Brad Pitt's 'Make it Right' Foundation has revitalised just a fraction of the Lower 9th ward and sits in an area surrounded by blight.

44 imagesAugust 29th 2014 marks the 9th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. New Orleans' Lower 9th Ward was one of the areas hardest hit by the storm. 9 years later the area continues to struggle to recover. Blighted houses still dot the landscape, yet amongst the ruins and vacant lots signs of recovery continue to emerge.

11 imagesMerrick Cemetery, St Bernard Parish, Louisiana, USA. Hurricane Katrina 9 years later. A few miles south of the Orleans parish line, crumbling concrete tombs reveal their contents. Recovered remains were placed in new coffins FEMA paid to be reburied following their uprooting by Hurricane Katrina. Today the temporary tombs appear to have become the permanent resting place for many of the dead displaced by hurricane Katrina.
