26 June, 2006. New Orleans, Louisiana. Morial Convention Center. The American Library Association holds its annual convention in New Orleans at the Morial Convention Center. Librarians and exhibitors wander the halls, stopping to browse at the Google stand. Once the scene of such misery, the Convention went off successfully, bringing a much needed boost to New Orleans tourism and a massive injection of conference and subsequent tourism cash and confidence back to the city.
