March 6th,2006. New Orleans, Louisiana. Six months after hurricane Katrina devasted the Lower 9th Ward, recovery work, slow and sometimes grim, continues at what appears to be a snail's pace. Piles of rubble and demolished cars remain in the wreckage. Through the wreckage one glimpses the cranes of the Army Corps of Engineers as they work to fix the industrial Canal levee which broke during hurricane Katrina, causing the devastation in the foreground.
