3rd, Feb 2006. East New Orleans, Louisiana. Tet, or Tet Nguyen Dan, Vietnamese Lunar New Year. Year of the Dog celebrations amongst the Vietnamese community of East Orleans. Gamblers exhcange cash and smiles playing Bau Cua amidst furious scenes in a mini Vietnamese 'casino' where proceeds allegedly go to the church to aid in the rebuilding of the area and the creation of an elderly retirement home in the community.
