30th Jan, 2006. New Orleans, Louisiana. Site of the 17th street canal breach in Lakeview, looking at the breached levee. The Army Corps of Engineers and contractors have sealed off the area with fencing, but there is little sign of any activity. Much of the city remains in ruins 5 months after hurricane Katrina destroyed the levees, flooding the area.
