Shocked residents of the St. Christopher's Inn retirement home were
abandoned by their caregivers on the eve of the storm and left to fend for themselves.
Running low on food and water Fannie Mae Waldhauser (88 years) tried her best to remain
calm before residents were rescued six days later by New Orleans 8th district police.
